Chasing Birds? Nope, Just Tweeting!

I'm Lily Rose and I have taken over my mom's blog.  She left the room for a few minutes and I jumped right onto the computer and got myself a twitter account.  I've got lots to say, about everything.  Human food, walks in the park, human food (love....), chasing my brother cat, Bobby and more human food.  I think about human food a lot because my mom doesn't share as much as I'd like.  So I'm going to write about it.

Will you be my friend on Twitter?  You can find me at https://twitter.com/puplilyrose.  If you follow me, I'll follow you right back.  As soon as I get my pink leash, of course! (Oh, but not if it is raining.  I don't like going out in the rain.)

Woof!

The weather report said rain.

The sun came out at noon and never went away.

This is how I felt!

Spring sun .... this is a good thing!

Spring Cleaning Treasure

In my house, where clutter (my clutter...) is a constant, there is also the continuing battle to clear it out.  Spring cleaning is a motivating factor and more piles disappear than at any time.  Spring cleaning is also the time to get into the boxes in the basement storage closets, so once again I can ask myself the questions: Where did all of this stuff come from and did I actually buy this?

Most of the time, the items in the boxes are not very exciting.  Picture frames without pictures, candles that wait for wicks to be lit, vases just yearning for flowers; those kind of things.

But this morning, I found an old address book, one that I had not seen in many, many years.  I couldn't remember when I used it, where I used it.  I realized when I saw some of the entries that it was 22 years ago - 1991 - when I was adding names and phone numbers.  No emails -- too early for that.  No websites -- hardly a blip on anyone's radar at that time. Fax numbers, though.  I think people still use faxes, right?

Looking through it, I discovered that there were some people I couldn't recall knowing at all, even as I wondered what happened to the people I remembered.  There were a few people I was still in contact with, mostly through social media, but where was everyone else?  Where had their lives taken them?

It hit me.  I would take my new treasure and see who I could find in Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Google.  It's Friday afternoon and too nice to get to that now.  But it's on my agenda and could be great fun.

I'll keep you posted.

Happy Spring Cleaning!
